What happens to our focus in life and how do we refocus?
Throughout life there are different experiences, challenges, and changes dropping into our life. Those drops can muddy the water if they are unhealthy. Sometimes identifying how the water became muddy is challenging and complacency sets in believing this is the way the water was meant to be.
The water can become clear and be free of any sedimentary drops dirtying the water. One method of cleaning water is letting the water sit unbothered to identify what must be removed and carefully moving the water to a new place. Second, removing the sediment with a vacuum, or a syphon, to clean out all the sediment that is unnecessary. Finally, pre-filtering is a process to keep sediment out of the water and keeps the water clean.
Just like the water, our minds need to be clear. The muddy drops of negative life experiences creating sediment need to be removed to start living life again. Therapy can help identify those sedimentary memories by mental examination leaving the decision to you on what needs to be removed. Then the therapist is the filter, assisting by using investigative clinical processes. Those processes are the modalities to assist taking a closer look with the goal in mind for a clear, healthy mindset.
